Back In The Saddle

02.18.10  —

Leave it to me to plan a cross country road trip amidst record-breaking nationwide snowfall!  It took us a little longer than we expected, but we made it home alive and well, only a tiny bit worse for the wear.  I am feeling a bit like we are in an ice prison with humungous icicles covering nearly every window in our house.  It's pretty but I think I am ready for a little spring.  Anyone else with me?

At any rate, I am back and at your service!  I hope you are staying warm :).

The loans suppose to be essential for people, which want to start their own career. By the way, it is very comfortable to receive a secured loan.

On the Road/ Out of the Office

Business
02.13.10  —

Tomorrow morning Andy, Gus and I will be packing up the car and making our way back across the country.  While I'm on the road I will have limited access to email and cell phone service (those mountains can really put a cramp on the cell signal). I'll be back in the office on Wednesday, February 17th to return all my messages and emails.  Thanks in advance for all of your patience.

See you soon, Ohio!

Pleasant Surprises

Personal
02.09.10  —

I don't know what it is about getting mail, but every single time I hear our postperson ascend our front porch stairs, my heart starts beating just a little bit faster.  I love it.  I think this coincides with my addiction to all things paper.  I can spend HOURS in a stationary store pouring over the racks of beautiful cards and letter-writing materials.  Currently, there are no less than three full drawers in my office dedicated to my collection.  It's an illness, really.

One of the many lovely benefits of spending six weeks in Southern California is having the opportunity to write and receive letters from those we would normally see fairly often.  Before we left, Andy put out a blanket request via his blog to all of our friends asking for addresses so we could mail postcards. Along with the invitation, he also made known our openness to receiving baked goods via post if anyone felt so inclined, fully expecting that no one would take him up on it.  Lo and behold, a friend of mine from New Mexico, the lovely Miss Katie Lee, saw the request and sent us the most delicious peanut butter cookies I have ever had in my life. No Joke. When I saw the return address on the package I literally squealed.  I don't squeal that often.  It takes something really special.  Katie is very special, not to mention extremely talented in the baking arena.  We were lucky enough to be able to stay with her on our way through New Mexico last winter and I am still thinking about how delicious her homemade bread was a little over a year later.  She was also sweet enough to include some peanut butter dog treats for little Gus.  He was very excited to be included.

Thank you so much, Katie, for the wonderful cookies.  I am ashamed to say they didn't even last a full twenty-four hours.

Of course, we can't just give Gus treats without earning them.  Cesar would not approve.  To show that we are nott completely cruel, Andy demonstrated that he was willing to work for his treats too. :)

She's not joking about squealing. It was loud. And appropriate.

Hi! I'm January. Welcome to my photography blog. Thank you so much for stopping by! I absolutely love photographing people of all shapes and sizes and take my job very seriously. I believe that every individual no matter how young or old has a story to tell and I strive to take photographs that bring these stories to life. Give me a call and we can meet for coffee and talk about the people you love and the kind of photography you would like.
